I want to introduce you to some new friends of mine. They just completed a 30 Day Isagenix cleanse and participated in the Group Coaching program. For the most part they are just average folks, hard-working, raising families, and very involved in life.
First on the list is Deana, a young mom with an 8 month old daughter about to celebrate her first Mother's Day. Right by her side is her younger (but taller) sister Laurie, who is a Claims Officer for MetLife as-well-as our new part-time trainer for Body Basics Boot Camps. Next is Addy, a mother of two and a veteran dental assistant who by the way can comfortably stand the sight of blood. Up next is Robin, also a mother of two and corporate mogul for a large pharma. Back to the far left is Lisa S., a self-employed Career Coach and mother of teenage twins. On the end is Lisa R. who has a lot of new challenges like moving to Blairstown and commuting to Warren for 6am boot camp and then going to work, taking college courses in environmental science, and if that isn't enough taking on this coaching mini-course to boot. Pictured in the left photo is Steve Warner who you might remember from a recent email celebrating his 47 pound fat loss. Steve's a busy guy too!
All of these people made a choice to participate in the Isagenix coaching program. In spite of their demanding schedules, they all somehow turned a switch in their brain that now points to the "I'm going to do this and succeed no matter what" position. This just impresses the hell out of me. You see I meet so many people who ask about boot camp and after I tell them all about it they sometimes respond with, "It's too early for me" or "I can't make it early, I have kids", or "It's too expensive".
All of these responses are seemingly valid until you meet people like this group mentioned above. They make other people look bad, plain and simple. In the words of T. Harv Eker who responds to people who make excuses with "That's just your story". Basically Eker is saying that people will tell themselves whatever they need to so that they can excuse or forgive themselves for not having to do whatever it is they are avoiding.
Bottom line, it's individuals who demonstrate a powerful sense of commitment and follow through that seem to always come out ahead. This is why I am so proud of this group. Deana and Laurie both travel almost an hour to get to the 6am boot camp and Deana has to wrestle with her husband's demanding schedule to make sure their baby daughter is attended to. Robin has a travel schedule that is downright menacing and she often has to have power lunches and dinners out. Steve is a partner in a busy law firm. And the last time I checked attorneys earn a living by practicing law! It's clear Steve, albeit 47 pounds leaner truly "pulls his weight" at the office. Lisa R. not only commutes from Blairstown to the 6am boot camp, but she's taking a night class for college credit, she's the town clerk and has late night court one night a week, and that's just for starters.
Not to leave anyone out, but you get the picture. Everyone of these individuals has challenges that would make most people take a pass on the coaching program. But every week they manage to take their measurements taken and send them to me. They manage to log on to the cleanandlean.ning.com website and post a comment or respond to a comment. They made the time to commit to themselves, the program, and each other in addition to everything else thay have going on.
They have all lost fat weight, maybe not as much as they had hoped, but they learned so much and will keep putting one foot in front of the other to continue. In a few months they will be down multiple double digits in weight. They have shared with me how great they feel. Lisa R shared that she tried to eat a meal that was once a part of her staple and she felt sick from it. Her body actually rejected processed food. Can you imagine? It's true, when you get healthy your body becomes sensitized to chemicals it once could handle.
Forgive me for waxing on, but I am so very proud. I'd like nothing more than to have you to join the next coaching program. But I want you to strongly consider the group that has preceded you. Ask yourself, "Do I have that level of commitment, persistence, and self discipline?"
Think about this. This group wasn't hand picked. I didn't interview them. I just told them the truth, that there were some requirements to join. I hope this newsletter inspires you to find that same inner voice. Because with it anything is possible.
Your Coach and friend,
Larry Wasserman
