Oatmeal Pancakes are Very Filling!

This is an easy to prepare and delicious recipe for a post work out meal. The best part is you can make a big batch of them and refrigerate or freeze them for later in the week. Bon appetite!

Load the top with as much fruit as you want. Try just 2 pancakes with mounds of your favorite fruit. You may also substitute egg beaters for egg whites below:

1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour,1 teaspoon canola oil
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 egg, 2 egg whites
1 cup old fashioned oatmeal2 cups buttermilk

10 pancakes:

Sodium: 150mgCholesterol: 15mgFiber: 1gSat Fat: 0

1. In bowl, combine oatmeal and buttermilk, let stand for 2 mins. Beat in oil, egg, egg whites, and vanilla.

2. Combine dry ingredients in small bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring only until combined.

3. Coat large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Place over medium heat. Pour 1/2 cup batter onto skillet and cook 1-2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.

4. Top with your favorite fruit or light syrup before serving. Refrigerate or freeze leftovers and use on future mornings --just pop in the micro!

How You Too Can Release 47 Pounds of Fat!

Steven Warner of Warren, New Jersey did it!

I'd like to introduce you to Steve Warner. He's a great guy with an amazing wit and sense of humor. He's married to Cheryl and they have two youthful and energetic boys. Steve practices law and is a partner in law firm with offices in Summit. So you might imagine that like many of us Steve has a demanding schedule that challenges him physically and emotionally.

Last September when we met and I learned from Steve that he wanted to change his health. It was time. He was fed up and realized that he had habits that contributed to his weight gain. And a substantial weight gain it was- 50 LBS!Fortunately at age 44 Steve had no real signs of poor health, but all the leading indicators were there.

But mostly, it was how he felt physically and for allowing himself to get to this point. Being a dad was a big motivator. He also wanted to get back into shape so he could be an active and physical parent who participated in sports with his kids, not watching from the side lines.

Growing up, Steve had been on his high school wrestling team. Even after so many years, he drew upon what he learned about what it takes to compete and win. Unlike other sports, wrestling often requires athletes to workout hard and diet in order to reach a particuliar weight tobe able to qualify to compete. This takes a lot of focus and self discipline. Having had this experience, it gave Steve a perspective on how to get his mind set. Currently he's an avid softball player and Steve knows what it's like to have your head in the game if you want to win. And win he did!

Steve signed up for boot camp and joined our first Isagenix Group Coaching program which ran from mid September to mid October of 2007. Steve was focused and found the Isagenix plan easy to follow. He's continued to use Isagenix products since and has a simple approach that allows him to replace a meal or two a day with an IsaLean protein shake or an IsaLean meal replacement bar. His other meals and snacks are nutritionally balanced and healthy. As you can see for yourself, he's lost 5 or more pounds a month continually by creating a lifestyle, not a diet.

In Steve's own words:

I endorse Isagenix products for their ease of use and effectiveness. My goal, is to lose 50lb and I dropped 21lbs in 30 days with Isagenix and by participating in the Group Coaching program Larry set up. Believe me his far exceeded my expectations and I am thrilled with the results. Having the support of others in the Coaching Group as well as the weekly meetings really helped me stay accountable. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend morning hikes and catching up on the previous week's challenges with the other members of the group. Look, even if you can't fit the Cleanse Group into your schedule, you should still do the 30 Day Program on your own.

I've learned a lot about how to eat better and it's really paying off as my clothes are now too big. For the first time in years I've had to pull my belt in, not let it out! Not only that, but I feel great, I've got more energy and I'm sleeping better too.Combined with the Body Basics Boot Camps program, the 30 Day Isagenix Total Body Cleanse makes perfect sense. The workouts are tough, but that's what the body needs in order to get leaner.
As a former high school wrestler, I feel like I'm back in training so-to-speak. I love that. Boot camp has helped me rediscover why fitness is soimportant. And as a father of two young boys, I want to be in shape so I can keep up with them. Or should I say, have my boys keep up with me! Don't even think about it. Like Nike says, "Just Do it!" -Steven Warner

So let's recap for a minute.

1. We've got Body Basics Boot Camps which is a great workout that will target your muscles and get you stronger and demand lot's of energy so that you'll burn calories at an accelerated rate all day long.

2. We've got Isagenix Nutritional Cleanse and Fat Burning program that will simplify your life, clean out the toxins and assist in accelerating fat release. Combined with boot camp, it's a powerful combination. That's how Steve Warner was able to release 20 pounds of fat his first month. What's amazing is, he's also gained lean muscle!

3. And last but not least we've got the FREE Isagenix Coaching program to ensure that you get all the help and support you need to succeed in your program. I have to admit, I agree with Steve's last statement, even though it's borrowed it from Nike. Taking the first step is often the most difficult part. So what are you waiting for? JUST DO IT!!!

30 Days could change your life...

Cleanse Group 2

We had a fantastic Spring Coaching Program in April. The turnout was good, but the energy between everyone was really amazing. To date, this group has set the bar to a new height for this coaching program.

Announcing the Isagenix Group Coaching Program
What is the Group Coaching Program?
The program is for people who purchase the Isagenix 30 Day Nutritional Cleanse and Fat Burning program. Instead of figuring out, guessing, struggling, and just trying to get it perfect we've created a program that provides you with round the clock information and support from some of the friendliest people you will ever meet.
Group Coaching Program Website
What does Isagenix do for you?

The program feeds your body cleansing nutrients like aloe, herbal teas, vitamins, and ionic trace minerals. Then, it helps kick-start your metabolism to burn fat naturally. No stimulants are used. Losing weight becomes easy and enjoyable. You may also gain more energy, build muscle, reduce unhealthy cravings, and improve your mental clarity.
Here's the "skinny"

Anything done with a group is more fun, not to mention that there is an arsenal of evidence to support the fact that people get better results in any endeavor with social support. And that's what you'll get here. We'll meet five times beginning on Sunday morning May 18th. Once we introduce ourselves, we'll review the program and components. We'll learn what to do and discuss real life strategies to handle life's unexpected interruptions. In addition we'll take some baseline measurements and a "before" photo.

The next three meetings will also be on Sunday mornings where we'll meet at a local park and go for a challenging hike through varied terrain. Along the way we'll talk about the previous week, sharing stories and anything else that's relevant.

The last meeting will be on June 15th where we'll take measurements again and our "after" photo. Most importantly we'll learn what we need to do to continue so that we achieve our goals.

But what if I can't make the group meetings?

No problem. As we will also be connected through an online forum I've set up so that anyone can cleanse along with the group. You'll send us your measurements and "before" photo and introduce yourself online. In this way, you can participate no matter where you live. The key is to participate!
Here's some benefits you can expect to receive:

You'll be providing your body with some of the highest quality nutrition on the market.
You'll be cleansing your body of toxins, gaining more energy and handling stress much better.
You'll release anywhere from 5 to 20 lbs in thirty days.
You get FREE personal coaching and be a part of a group of like-minded individuals who will support you.

You'll save money at the grocery store because you'd be spending less on groceries for the next 30 days.

If you want to get great results, it is important to commit and follow through. In order to participate in this coaching program please read the following requirements for entry. If you are hesitant, not committed, or have a challenging schedule, please wait for a better time.
These requirements are simple, but mandatory.

P.S. We first ran this cleanse group in the Fall of 2007 and it was a big hit. Since then, we've had many new clients experience Isagenix and get great results. You've heard me talk about it, you may have even tasted some samples I've brought to boot camp.

I've worked with many people and all I can say at this point is if you think you've tried everything and you haven't tried Isagenix, one thing is for certain, thirty days is going to pass by. You could stay right where you are or you could be well on your way to being the next Steve Warner!
P.S. Please pass this email on to anyone you think might benefit.
Thank you!

"They" Are The Champions!

I want to introduce you to some new friends of mine. They just completed a 30 Day Isagenix cleanse and participated in the Group Coaching program. For the most part they are just average folks, hard-working, raising families, and very involved in life.

First on the list is Deana, a young mom with an 8 month old daughter about to celebrate her first
Mother's Day. Right by her side is her younger (but taller) sister Laurie, who is a Claims Officer for MetLife as-well-as our new part-time trainer for Body Basics Boot Camps. Next is Addy, a mother of two and a veteran dental assistant who by the way can comfortably stand the sight of blood. Up next is Robin, also a mother of two and corporate mogul for a large pharma. Back to the far left is Lisa S., a self-employed Career Coach and mother of teenage twins. On the end is Lisa R. who has a lot of new challenges like moving to Blairstown and commuting to Warren for 6am boot camp and then going to work, taking college courses in environmental science, and if that isn't enough taking on this coaching mini-course to boot. Pictured in the left photo is Steve Warner who you might remember from a recent email celebrating his 47 pound fat loss. Steve's a busy guy too!

All of these people made a choice to participate in the Isagenix coaching program. In spite of their demanding schedules, they all somehow turned a switch in their brain that now points to the "I'm going to do this and succeed no matter what" position. This just impresses the hell out of me. You see I meet so many people who ask about boot camp and after I tell them all about it they sometimes respond with, "It's too early for me" or "I can't make it early, I have kids", or "It's too expensive".

All of these responses are seemingly valid until you meet people like this group mentioned above. They make other people look bad, plain and simple. In the words of
T. Harv Eker who responds to people who make excuses with "That's just your story". Basically Eker is saying that people will tell themselves whatever they need to so that they can excuse or forgive themselves for not having to do whatever it is they are avoiding.

Bottom line, it's individuals who demonstrate a powerful sense of commitment and follow through that seem to always come out ahead. This is why I am so proud of this group. Deana and Laurie both travel almost an hour to get to the 6am boot camp and Deana has to wrestle with her husband's demanding schedule to make sure their baby daughter is attended to. Robin has a travel schedule that is downright menacing and she often has to have power lunches and dinners out. Steve is a partner in a busy law firm. And the last time I checked attorneys earn a living by practicing law! It's clear Steve, albeit 47 pounds leaner truly "pulls his weight" at the office. Lisa R. not only commutes from Blairstown to the 6am boot camp, but she's taking a night class for college credit, she's the town clerk and has late night court one night a week, and that's just for starters.

Not to leave anyone out, but you get the picture. Everyone of these individuals has challenges that would make most people take a pass on the coaching program. But every week they manage to take their measurements taken and send them to me. They manage to log on to the cleanandlean.ning.com website and post a comment or respond to a comment. They made the time to commit to themselves, the program, and each other in addition to everything else thay have going on.

They have all lost fat weight, maybe not as much as they had hoped, but they learned so much and will keep putting one foot in front of the other to continue. In a few months they will be down multiple double digits in weight. They have shared with me how great they feel. Lisa R shared that she tried to eat a meal that was once a part of her staple and she felt sick from it. Her body actually rejected processed food. Can you imagine? It's true, when you get healthy your body becomes sensitized to chemicals it once could handle.

Forgive me for waxing on, but I am so very proud. I'd like nothing more than to have you to join the next coaching program. But I want you to strongly consider the group that has preceded you. Ask yourself, "Do I have that level of commitment, persistence, and self discipline?"

Think about this. This group wasn't hand picked. I didn't interview them. I just told them the truth, that there were some requirements to join. I hope this newsletter inspires you to find that same inner voice. Because with it anything is possible.

Your Coach and friend,
Larry Wasserman

First Boot Camp of the New Year

Today was a pretty great first day of boot camp. The facilites at Temple Har Shalom are proving to be just what we needed, a much bigger space. More room means better relays, speed drills, and room for more people too!

I began the first day talking about good nutrition and the key role it plays whether you want to improve your overall health, lose weight, gain weight, build muscle, improve athletic performance, or improve body composition. Yes, the answer lies heavily in one's nutrition habits.

It's hard to impress upon people the importance of this, as everyone has an approach that they use either out of habit or lack of a better plan. Well, if I were Dr. Phil I would ask you point blank, "How's your program workin' for ya?"

Being results oriented, Dr. Phil and I have a lot in common. If whatever you are practicing isn't getting you the results you are looking for, perhaps you had better consider trying a different approach.

When it comes to nuitrition, Precision Nutrition is the right tool for the job. Being an "outcome based" program PN allows individuals to find the exact methods that work for them. It pretty much works for everyone, everytime.

I'm sending you a link to download a free ebook called:

Precision Nutrition Strategies.

http://www.precisionnutrition.com/cmd.php?pageid=696774&u=s

Here's an excert from the PN site:

"This E-Book is an extension of our Precision Nutrition program and it's called Precision Nutrition Strategies. With 43 pages and 7 chapters (plus appendices), it's obviously no where near as comprehensive as the full Precision Nutrition Program. However, it provides a nice and simple overview of some critical PN strategies including: "

- The rules of good nutrition
- Protein intake
- Balancing dietary acids
- Altering your eating schedule to make it more PN friendly
- Preparing foods
- Eating on the road
- Reving your metabolism and more.

Good nutrition is what will move you forward. Good nutrition is what will feed muscle and shed fat. It’s what will improve nearly every health marker you can measure. It’s what will drastically improve recovery and mood, so you can work harder, longer. Good nutrition is what will get you the body you never thought you could have.

Change your nutrition, and you’ll change your body entirely. Change your nutrition, and you’ll quite literally change your life.

“Well, great,” you say, “I understand the importance of nutrition to my body – and I do want to change – the question is how!”

The answer is (drum roll please)...
Precision Nutrition
